Speaker Pelosi Holds Bill Enrollment Ceremony
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held a bill enrollment ceremony for the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2020, which condemns the Chinese government for the human rights abuses suffered by Uyghurs, ethnic Kazakhs and other Muslim minorities in the region. The speaker was joined by Rep. Christopher Smith (R-NJ), who is the top Republican on the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health & Human Rights.
